The de-icing control system is used for the automatic controlling of the de-icing of, e.g., ramps, stairs, flat roofs, and gutters. Thanks to the accurate ground sensors, the ice and snow melting process is started immediately in order to prevent slips. Using the PST 5000 control centre with the ice and snow melting system minimises the energy consumption at the site, as the areas are only heated when necessary. The PST 5000 control centre detects, via the sensors, the amount of accumulated ice and snow and adjusts the ice and snow melting system on the basis of the data provided by the sensors. PST 5000 combines the functions of two control devices. It contains two completely separate heating circuits, which both have their individual sensors. The control centre also contains a sensor, which reacts quickly to changes in temperature, that is used for measuring outdoor temperature. The device is also equipped with one output for alerts. The LED indicator in the front panel indicates which heating circuit is currently being adjusted. The circuits have separate control values. The circuits only have the language and temperature unit in common.
