In winter, the freezing of outdoor areas can result in dangerous situations and make moving about more difficult. An effective way of preventing problems caused by freezing is to equip parking areas, ramps, walkways, outdoor stairs, bridges, and loading bays with an automatic de-icing system. This way outdoor areas are kept safe and free of ice and snow all year round. The de-icing system also prevents ground-frost damage.
